Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates, PLLC Data Breach

Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates PLLC and affiliates Carnegie Hill Imaging for Women and Carnegie Women’s Health have collectively reported a data breach that may compromise the personal data of some of their current and former patients. Upon discovering unusual activity within their computer network on September 16, 2024, the practices initiated an investigation with cybersecurity experts and notified federal law enforcement. The investigation determined that unauthorized access to a limited section of their network occurred between July 30 and September 16, 2024, during which certain files were accessed or downloaded without permission. 

Data potentially exposed in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Associates data breach includes sensitive information such as names, addresses, dates of birth, driver’s licenses, Social Security numbers, financial information, and medical information. The practices are conducting a detailed review to identify individuals affected and will send notifications to those impacted once the review is complete.
