Manpower of Lansing Security Incident: What Happened?
Manpower of Lansing, MI Inc., a staffing agency with offices in Michigan and Indiana, has reported a data breach affecting 144,189 individuals. An attacker gained unauthorized access to the company’s network between December 29, 2024 and January 12, 2025. Manpower discovered the incident on January 20, 2025 and launched an investigation with the help of cybersecurity experts, discovering that files containing personal information may have been acquired.
The RansomHub ransomware group claimed responsibility for the Manpower data breach and allegedly stole approximately 500GB of sensitive data, including personal information, corporate records and confidential business documents.
Manpower began sending data breach notices in mid-August 2025 specifying the types of information exposed.
