KerberRose Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation

Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the KerberRose data breach.

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the KerberRose data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.

KerberRose Security Incident: What Happened?

KerberRose Wealth Management, a certified public accounting firm with 13 locations in Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, has reported a data breach affecting 27,076 people.

A sample notification letter (pictured below) states that on May 1, 2026, KerberRose learned of unauthorized access to an employee's email account that occurred days prior, on April 29. The KerberRose data breach affected a part of the backup platform used in its wealth management services. KerberRose's accounting and tax services were not impacted.

An investigation concluded that names, addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, bank account information, and dates of birth may have been accessed or acquired by the unauthorized third party.
