Kennametal Data Breach? Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of reports of a possible Kennametal data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who believe their information may have been put at risk, including current and former Kennametal employees and contractors.
Reports Emerge of Possible Kennametal Security Breach
Kennametal, a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of high-performance cutting tools and industrial engineering components, may have suffered a data breach.
According to an October 6, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.live, hacker group Everest was behind the suspected attack, which was estimated to have occurred the same day.
HookPhish, another cybersecurity blog, similarly reported that Everest claimed to be responsible for an attack on the multibillion-dollar industrial technology company.
At the time this post was made, no additional information was available about the scope or nature of the unconfirmed Kennametal data breach.
What You Can Do
If you're affiliated with Kennametal and suspect your information could have been put at risk, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, lost time, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Kennametal to ensure they take proper steps to protect the information they were entrusted with.
