Ingram Data Breach?: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of reports of a possible Ingram data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who believe their information may have been put at risk, including current and former employees, authors, publishers, and others affiliated with Ingram Content Group.
Reports Emerge of Possible Ingram Content Group Security Breach
Ingram Content Group, a book printing and publishing company, is reported to have suffered a data breach allegedly carried out by ransomware group ShinyHunters. According to a July 1, 2026 post on dark web monitoring platform Ransomware.live, ShinyHunters claims that attempted ransom negotiations with Ingram had failed.
Days later, on July 7, DataBreach.com published a searchable database that indexed the information reportedly compromised in the suspected Ingram Content Group data breach, which it found to include 80,190 rows of Social Security numbers, emails, phone numbers, names, and addresses.
The Ingram data breach had not been confirmed by the company at the time this post was made.
What You Can Do
If you're affiliated with Ingram and suspect your information could have been put at risk, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Ingram to ensure they take proper steps to protect the information they were entrusted with.
