As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Indiana University Health Affiliated Covered Entity (IU Health) has disclosed a data breach following the detection of unusual activity in a user’s email account, leading to potential exposure of limited personal information. The breach occurred between October 4 and October 18, 2024, during which the unauthorized party had access to the compromised account.
While no financial or Social Security numbers were reportedly affected in the Indiana University Health data breach, information that may have been compromised includes addresses, ages, medical record numbers, diagnoses, and other limited treatment details.
On December 17, 2024, IU Health published a press release and began notifying the affected individuals.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
