IWIRC Data Breach? Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of reports of a possible IWIRC data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who believe their information may have been put at risk, including current and former IWIRC patients and employees.
Reports Emerge of Possible IWIRC Security Breach
Illinois Work Injury Resource Center (IWIRC), an occupational health provider offering pre-employment, work-injury and rehabilitation services, may have suffered a data breach.
According to an October 30, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.live, hacker group Genesis was behind the suspected attack, which was estimated to have occurred the same day.
Breachsense, another cybersecurity platform, similarly reported that Genesis claimed to be responsible for an attack on the Illinois healthcare provider that allegedly involved 430 gigabytes of data.
At the time this post was made, no additional information was available about the scope or nature of the unconfirmed Illinois Work Injury Resource Center data breach.
What You Can Do
If you're affiliated with IWIRC and suspect your information could have been put at risk, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, lost time, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force IWIRC to ensure they take proper steps to protect the information they were entrusted with.
