Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the ID Care data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the ID Care data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
ID Care Security Incident: What Happened?
ID Care, the largest private infectious disease practice in New Jersey and the second largest in the United States, has announced a data breach that may have exposed the information of current and former patients, according to a notice on its website.
On November 5, 2025, the company noticed suspicious activity on its network and initiated an investigation with cybersecurity experts. It was found that on November 5, an unauthorized actor accessed ID Care's network and potentially downloaded certain files.
The ongoing investigation aims to identify the affected information, which may include names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, health insurance details, and medical information, such as diagnoses and prescriptions. Once the investigation is complete, ID Care will notify affected individuals by mail.
Operating 10 offices in New Jersey, ID Care offers treatment and preventative care for a range of infectious diseases.
