A notice posted to the Kansas-based eye care practice’s website states that between April 1 and April 7, 2026, certain data was viewed or stolen without authorization. A review of the affected information is ongoing, and the specific types of data potentially compromised have not yet been determined. Once that review is complete, anyone impacted by the Heart of America Eye Care data breach will be notified directly.
Heart of America Eye Care disclosed its data breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in a June 5, 2026 report.
