Gilead Sciences Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the data breach impacting Gilead Sciences.

Trusaic Security Incident: What Happened?
Gilead Sciences, Inc. has reported a data breach involving personal information provided to Trusaic, a software company that assists clients like Gilead with Affordable Care Act compliance and reporting services.
Trusaic explained in letters sent to affected individuals (an example of which can be seen below) that the breach involved its mailing distribution vendor, Billing Document Specialists (BDS). According to the notice, BDS inadvertently mailed 1095-C tax forms with shipping labels displaying an 18-digit string that included the recipient's Social Security number. The batch of forms was mailed on February 7, 2025.
The data breach, discovered by Trusaic on February 18, 2025, prompted the company to undertake a review and collaborate with BDS to enhance security measures. Trusaic's review confirmed that there was no unauthorized access to its customer databases or internal servers.
Gilead Sciences reported that the data breach impacted 12,224 people.
