Gaylord Specialty Healthcare Security Incident: What Happened?
Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a nonprofit medical rehabilitation center located in Wallingford, Connecticut, recently reported that it experienced a data security incident around mid-December 2024 that affected network connectivity.
Following an investigation and review of affected documents, Gaylord Farm Association Inc., which does business as Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, determined on August 25, 2025 that certain data may have been acquired by an unauthorized party, likely between December 16 and December 19, 2024.
A notice posted on the facility’s website indicates that while the personal information involved varies by person, the Gaylord Specialty Healthcare data breach potentially exposed names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, taxpayer ID numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, passport numbers, payment card and financial account details, medical record numbers, treatment and diagnosis data, procedure and provider details, dates of service, admission and discharge dates, prescription information, billing and claim details, and health insurance data.
On September 24, 2025, the medical center began notifying those whose personal information may have been impacted by the incident.
