Fiesta Insurance Security Incident: What Happened?
Fiesta Insurance Franchise Corporation, an insurance and tax preparation company with over 220 franchise locations nationwide, has reported a data breach involving sensitive information in its care.
According to an online notice, Fiesta Insurance became aware on June 9, 2025 that certain systems within its network were impacted by a cybersecurity event. On June 26, 2026, an investigation aided by cybersecurity professionals determined that the files potentially accessed or acquired during the Fiesta Insurance Franchise Corporation data breach contained full names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, passport numbers, financial account information, health-related financial information and driver’s license numbers. The degree of information potentially exposed during the Fiesta Insurance data breach may vary per individual.
Although the total number of people affected by the Fiesta Insurance data breach is not yet known, 12,097 Texas residents are among those impacted. Fiesta Insurance began issuing notification letters on July 13, 2026.
