Elemetal Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Elemetal data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Elemetal, a precious metals refiner, detected suspicious activity on its computer network on August 26, 2023. The company promptly shut down systems to secure the network and initiated an investigation. It was revealed that an unauthorized actor accessed Elemetal’s systems between August 22 and September 1, 2023.
The breach may have revealed a range of sensitive data, including consumers’ names, Social Security numbers, government-issued ID numbers, and financial account information.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Elemetal to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
