Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the EBlock data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Dealer-to-dealer digital auction platform EBlock has reported a data breach affecting nearly 2,000 individuals.
On August 14, 2023, unauthorized access was discovered to part of the legacy ABS Auto Auctions infrastructure, and an investigation revealed that certain data may have been exposed. Compromised data may have included information provided by individuals or collected during the provision of services, such as date of birth and Social Security number, as well as driver’s license, bank account number, and bank routing number.
Notification is being sent to all potentially affected individuals to inform them of the EBlock data breach and possible exposure of their personal information.
