DermCare Management Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the DermCare Management data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
DermCare Management Security Incident: What Happened?
DermCare Management, a dermatology practice management company, is notifying individuals affected by a potential data breach that exposed personal information belonging to patients of the company's partners.
According to an online data breach notice posted by Berman Skin Institute, one of DermCare's partners, suspicious activity on the practice's computer systems was detected on February 26, 2025. It was discovered on March 3, 2025, that certain patient details might have been accessed without permission.
The types of information possibly impacted in the DermCare Management data breach include Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account details, medical information, and health insurance details. The extent of the breach varies among individuals, and not all patients were affected.
Berman Skin Institute, which has 12 locations across Northern California, stated that notice of the breach will be mailed to impacted individuals once their identities and contact information are confirmed.

- Rendon Center for Dermatology & Aesthetic Medicine - Boca Raton, Florida
- Skin & Beauty Center - Burbank, Glendale, Santa Clarita, Pasadena, Northridge, West Hills, Glendale-Verdugo Hills and Westlake Village, California
- Skin Center of South Miami - South Miami, Florida
