CRC Insurance Services, LLC, a wholesale and specialty insurance distributor, has reported a data breach that may have exposed personal information. Unauthorized access, which an investigation revealed involved a file server in one of CRC's local offices, was first discovered on February 19, 2025. CRC Insurance enlisted a third-party cyber forensic expert to look into and contain the situation. The CRC Insurance data breach occurred on February 3, 2025, and the company is now reaching out to inform those affected about the incident.
According to the website for the Texas Attorney General, the data breach exposed names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, dates of birth and medical information.
