Corporation Service Company Security Incident: What Happened?
Corporation Service Company (CSC), a provider of business administration and compliance solutions, has reported a data breach affecting sensitive information.
According to a sample notice letter sent to impacted individuals, as seen below, CSC was alerted to suspicious activity related to its network and, following an investigation with forensic specialists, determined that an unauthorized actor gained access to a third-party hosted database between August 10 and August 25, 2025. The company then completed a review of the exposed data on July 15, 2026.
According to a report filed with the Texas Attorney General's Office, the CSC data breach impacted names, Social Security numbers, government-issued ID numbers, financial information and dates of birth.
An August 13 report submitted to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation indicates that the Corporation Service Company data breach may have also exposed driver's licenses.
