Connex Credit Union Security Incident: What Happened?
Connex Credit Union, which operates eight branches across Connecticut, reported a data breach to the Texas and California attorneys general in early August 2025. The financial institution detected unusual cyber activity on June 3, 2025, and began an investigation with independent experts. It was discovered that files were accessed or downloaded without permission between June 2 and June 3, 2025. By July 27, Connex Credit Union determined that personal data, such as names, account numbers, Social Security numbers, and other government IDs, may have been compromised.
Individuals affected by the Connex Credit Union data breach are receiving notice of the incident via mail.
