Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of reports of a potential CMA data breach.

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who suspect their information may have been put at risk, including current and former Community Management Associates employees as well as residents, vendors or managers at the properties it oversees.

Reports Emerge of Possible Community Management Associates Security Incident

Community Management Associates (CMA), a real estate and homeowner's association management company based in Texas, may have suffered a data breach.

A July 31, 2026 post on cybersecurity blog HookPhish states that ransomware group Qilin claimed to be responsible for the attack, which supposedly occurred that same day. Ransomware.live, a dark web monitoring platform, similarly credited Qilin for the alleged July 31 attack on CMA.

At the time this post was made, no additional information was available regarding the scope or nature of the unconfirmed CMA data breach.

Founded in 1983, Community Management Associates offers a suite of financial, communications and operational association management services to a wide range of residential communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.
