Community Health Network Security Incident: What Happened?
Community Health Network, Inc., a nonprofit health system with over 200 care sites across central Indiana, has reported a security incident involving unauthorized access to sensitive data, including protected health information. The Community Health Network data breach stemmed from access to an employee email account, prompting action to secure the organization's systems and initiate an investigation with the help of cybersecurity professionals. The investigation showed that personal information may have been accessed and acquired between February 25 and February 26, 2025.
In a notice posted on its website dated July 7, 2025, Community Health Network said it will notify affected individuals once its investigation is complete.
