Columbia Bank, the largest bank headquartered in the Northwest and one of the largest in the West, has disclosed a data breach involving unauthorized access to its systems.
A sample notification letter (pictured below) states that an unauthorized third party accessed certain Columbia Bank applications between October 2 and December 22, 2025. Upon discovering the incident, Columbia Bank hired a forensic security firm to assist in the investigation and ensure system security. A review to identify the specific information compromised in the Columbia Bank data breach was completed by March 6, 2026.
Columbia Bank operates over 350 locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.
