Center for Life Resources Security Incident: What Happened?
Central Texas MHMR Center, operating as Center for Life Resources based in Brownwood, Texas, has announced a data breach that may involve clients' personal and protected health information. On November 17, 2025, Center for Life Resources detected unusual network activity and took measures to secure the system. The company engaged cybersecurity specialists to investigate, discovering that an unknown actor accessed and potentially copied files between November 14 and 15, 2025.
Center for Life Resources, which offers services including adult and children's mental health, substance use support, autism services, and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, stated that it is working to identify the information affected and plans to notify individuals directly once the review concludes.
While an online notice about the Center for Life Resources data breach states that the review of impacted data is ongoing, a report published to the Texas Attorney General's website on January 30, 2026 states that names, addresses, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, medical information, dates of birth and health insurance information may have been exposed in the incident.
