A July 31, 2026 media notice posted to Business Wire states that Cardiovascular Institute of New England observed unusual activity in its email environment on or around February 12, 2026.
Following an investigation with third-party cybersecurity specialists and a data review, Cardiovascular Institute of New England determined on July 14, 2026 that the incident may have impacted names, dates of birth, phone numbers, financial account numbers, medical information, medical diagnoses and treatment information, treatment locations, clinical information, prescription information and medical insurance provider information. The company began sending notification letters to affected individuals on July 28, 2026.
The total number of individuals impacted by the Cardiovascular Institute of New England data breach has not been publicly disclosed.
