BAMSI Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the BAMSI data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Brockton Area Multi Services, Inc. (BAMSI), a nonprofit organization founded in Brockton, Massachusetts, has reported a data breach affecting 23,705 individuals.
On April 14, 2023, BAMSI detected unusual activity on its systems, prompting immediate security measures to protect its network, systems, and data. BAMSI then launched an investigation into the incident, revealing that certain data may have been accessed or acquired without authorization. A review of the potentially compromised information concluded on April 29, 2024.
The BAMSI data breach may have exposed individuals’ names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, financial information, diagnosis or treatment details, and health insurance information.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force BAMSI to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
