Avosina Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Avosina data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the Avosina data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
Avosina Security Incident: What Happened?
SomnoSleep Consultants, LLC, an ENT and sleep medicine practice with offices in Annandale and Springfield, Virginia, announced that some patients may have been impacted by a data breach at third-party vendor Avosina Healthcare Solutions.
Avosina, a firm specializing in revenue cycle management and IT management, discovered on July 29, 2025 that parts of its computer system were compromised by an unidentified threat actor. During an investigation, it was revealed that the intruder may have accessed certain document files and applications, though SomnoSleep Consultants noted that its own electronic medical records system and billing systems were not affected.
The Avosina Healthcare Solutions data breach may have led to the exposure of personal information, including patient names, addresses, and some medical and health insurance information.
SomnoSleep Consultants was informed of the breach on September 29, 2025 and learned on November 17, 2025 that a limited number of its patients were impacted. These individuals were notified directly by Avosina.
