Atlantic Digestive Security Incident: What Happened?
Atlantic Digestive Specialists, a New Hampshire gastrointestinal healthcare group, has reported a data breach that may have exposed sensitive information.
According to a September 30, 2026 notice posted to its website, Atlantic Digestive was alerted to suspicious activity in its network in March 2026. Following an investigation with cybersecurity experts, the healthcare provider determined that some information may have been viewed or acquired without authorization between March 16 and March 17, 2026.
A later review of the potentially impacted data revealed that the set may have contained some personal and protected health information. Specifically, the personal information potentially exposed in the Atlantic Digestive Specialists data breach included names, Social Security numbers, driver's license and state identification numbers, dates of birth, financial account information, payment card information, alien registration numbers, taxpayer identification numbers, passport numbers, username and password information and digital/electronic signatures.
Health information that may have been affected during the incident included clinical information, diagnoses, medical history, medical record numbers, medical treatment and procedure information, mental or physical conditions, prescription information, Medicaid/Medicare numbers, medical costs, dates of service, provider names, patient account numbers and health insurance policy-related numbers.
Atlantic Digestive started providing notice of the incident to potentially impacted individuals on September 30, 2026.
