Annapath Data Breach? Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of reports of a possible Annapath data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who believe their information may have been put at risk, including current and former Annapath employees, patients and provider partners.
Reports Emerge of Possible Annapath Security Breach
Annapath Pathology Services, a Maryland-based surgical and cytopathology laboratory serving patients across the Mid-Atlantic, may have suffered a data breach.
According to an October 22, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.live, hacker group Akira claimed to be responsible for an attack on Annapath that reportedly involved 110 gigabytes of data, including employee and customer information. The alleged attack was estimated to have occurred the same day the post was made.
HookPhish, another cybersecurity blog, similarly stated that Akira was behind the suspected attack on the pathology company.
At the time this post was made, no additional information was available about the scope or nature of the unconfirmed Annapath Pathology Services data breach.
What You Can Do
If you're affiliated with Annapath and suspect your information could have been put at risk, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, lost time, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
