Amplifon Security Incident: What Happened?
Amplifon (USA), Inc., a global provider of hearing products and services, has announced a security incident involving certain personal information in its systems.
According to a notice on Amplifon's website, the company identified suspicious activity on February 11, 2026 and enlisted external cybersecurity experts to assist with an investigation.
The investigation revealed that between January 18 and February 8, 2026, an unauthorized party accessed and obtained files from specific systems. On October 6, 2026, Amplifon determined that certain personal data may have been impacted.
The data potentially compromised in the Amplifon data breach includes names, contact details, birth dates, driver's license or other state ID numbers, other government-issued ID numbers, hearing or medical information, medical record numbers, dates of service, other health-related information, health insurance ID numbers and other health insurance information. A limited number of individuals might also have had their financial information or Social Security numbers affected.
Amplifon will inform potentially impacted individuals for whom it has a valid mailing address.
