According to an August 19, 2026 post on dark web monitoring platform Ransomware.live, hacker group Settra was behind the suspected attack, which was estimated to have occurred on August 4, and reportedly exfiltrated 161 gigabytes of data from the company.
Breachsense, another dark web security site, similarly stated that Settra claimed to be responsible for an attack on Alphanumeric.
At the time this post was made, no additional information was available about the scope or nature of the unconfirmed Alphanumeric Systems data breach.
