A&A Services Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the A&A Services data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
A&A Services, which does business as Sav-Rx, recently reported that a significant data breach was identified on October 8, 2023 involving an unauthorized third party gaining access to certain non-clinical systems of the medication benefits management services provider. Action was taken to secure the network, and third-party cybersecurity experts were hired.
An investigation confirmed that the unauthorized party accessed files containing personal information. Though A&A has not confirmed in its online statement the types of data involved, BleepingComputer.com reported that the compromised information included full names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, email and mailing addresses, phone numbers, eligibility data and insurance identification numbers.
According an FAQ page on the company's website, the A&A Services data breach affected individuals who are current or former participants of associated health plans or current or former employees. In a notice provided to the Maine attorney general, A&A Services reported that 2,812,336 people were impacted.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force A&A Services to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
