- According to the maker, the Power Balance bracelet is designed to "work with your body's natural energy field" allowing you to reach "the next level."
The Power Balance bracelets claim to improve the wearer’s balance and agility as they work with the body’s natural energy field to reach the “next level.” However, in an official statement, Power Balance admitted that there is no credible scientific data to support their claims. This admission was made after the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) found that the Power Balance bracelet “may be no more beneficial than a rubber band.”
Power Balance Wristband Scam Alleged
According to the company, the power balance wristband optimizes the body’s natural energy flow. The bracelet claims to contain a hologram which “resonates with and response to the natural energy field of the body.” The credibility of the bracelet was even supported by several professional athletes and actors. However, the company has admitted that they misled consumers, as there is no proof to their claims.

According to the ACCC chairman, manufacturers of products of this nature must make sure that they are not claiming certain benefits without having supportive scientific evidence. A Power Balance bracelet class action filed in California resonates this same tone, as the suit claims that Power Balance misled consumers by implying that there was a tangible benefit associated with the wearing of the wristbands.
