General Electric Dishwasher Recall

General Electric Dishwasher Recall

Consumers who owned a General Electric dishwasher which caught fire may be entitled to compensation in light of a recent recall. On August 9, 2012, more than 1 million General Electric dishwashers were voluntarily recalled after GE received 15 reports of dishwasher heating element failures, seven of which sparked fires and smoke damage beyond the units. While no injuries were reported from the fires, three consumers reported extensive property damage. Because the fire hazard may stem from a defect within the device, the manufacturer could be liable for any resulting damages, including property damage.

Did your GE dishwasher catch fire? If so, you may be able to file a claim against the manufacturer to seek compensation for property damage and other losses. To find out if you are eligible, fill out our free, no obligation case review form today.
