TCPA Class Action Filed Against CMRE Financial Services

CMRE Financial Services, Inc. is the defendant in a proposed class action that claims the debt collection company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). The plaintiff claims that despite sending two cease and desist letters to the defendant, the company continued to place unsolicited calls to her cell phone through automatic dialing technology. The lawsuit says the defendant ignored the plaintiff’s revocation of her consent to receive any phone calls.
