Acros Viseu LLC, which does business as Seabra’s Marisqueira, along with its owners, have been hit with a wage and hour lawsuit in New Jersey. The plaintiff is looking to recover unpaid minimum and overtime wages for himself and other similarly situated bartenders, servers, runners and bussers. The suit claims that these and other employees were required to take part in a tip pool, but ended up sharing some of their tips with the restaurant’s owners. Also, Seabra’s allegedly made workers pay for uniform maintenance and customer walkouts, and failed to pay them overtime, as well as the statutory minimum wage.
